Beijing, November 30, 2007 -- XMIND, a leading provider of revolutionary mind mapping/presentation software applications, has released its latest update - XMIND 2008 v2.1. This major update includes a variety of powerful enhancements, including 5 new features, 30+ improvements, and 20+ bug fixes.
Main topics can be freely moved anywhere on the map by simply pressing ALT (Command for Mac). The original position of main branches can be restored at any time using the rearrange feature. Users can also choose to overlap topics.
Floating topics can be aligned to the left, right, center, top, or bottom - similar to the way elements are aligned in other applications. Overlapping topics can also be tiled.
XMIND now allows users to change map backgrounds. More than 30 images that can be used as wallpaper are included with the software, or users can add their own images and use them as map backgrounds.
A new presentation panel is available in Presentation mode. By clicking the button in the control panel, users can directly shift focus, filter the map, check outlines, zoom in or out, or end the presentation.
Drilldown functionality has also been improved. When a user drills down into a topic, the resulting content can be saved as a new map within the context menu. This new map will be automatically opened in a new workbook after being saved.
With XMIND, you can effortlessly plan your meeting by creating agendas and finalizing details in a single map with a hierarchical structure. All map information can be captured easily by filtering with markers and labels. During the meeting, you can use XMIND to conduct your presentation. The full content of the topic at hand will be displayed across the entire screen, allowing audience members to focus on certain points or grasp a specific idea. Meanwhile, an audio notes feature will allow you to record everyone's voice as separate attachments.
XMIND lets you instantly collect ideas without disrupting the brainstorming process to define their precise wording or positioning. 'Enter' and 'Tab' keys provide a quick way to bring your ideas onto maps as topics, while filters and Drilldowns place emphasis on particular topics. All information recorded in XMIND will be presented as a mind map, but can be easily displayed as fishbone charts, 2D charts, and other structures. This will allow you to visually convey causal relationships in complex ideas or events, perform accurate cause and effect analysis, better organize materials, and much more!
XMIND empowers teams to creatively and rapidly share ideas and information on a scalable visual map. Through powerful yet simple visualization, groups can collaborate more effectively to reach important conclusions or achieve desired results. Any related information, such as file, documents, or images, can be included in XMIND as attachments. Entire maps can be separated into smaller, more focused multi-maps. Or, multiple maps can be easily merged into one! And maps can be exported into a variety of formats, including Word, PPT, PDF, RTF, and images files for fast and simple distribution.
